Syed Z. Hasnain, MD: Dr. Hasnain completed his undergraduate and basic medical education in Karachi, Pakistan. He then completed his training in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, IL. He has been in private practice since 1995, having served as Chief of Medicine, Memorial City Medical Center and currently the Medical Director, Town & Country Triumph Hospital, LTAC Unit. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice/Palliative Medicine.

Adam Kawley, MD:  “Treat the patient, not the x-rays.” James M. Hunter, MD.
Dr. Kawley has been treating patients in the Memorial and Houston area for fifteen years. He is certified by three different American Boards: the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Kawley has been a faculty member at the University of Louisville, and the Baylor College of Medicine. Throughout his career, he has concentrated on the treatment of hospitalized patients, from those admitted to regular medical and surgical floors to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Kawley is adept at all the procedures typically performed in the ICU, including invasive lines, intubations, and fiber-optic bronchoscopy. He has multiple publications in prestigious journals pertaining to Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine.

Anatoli N. Krasko, MD: Earning his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1983 at the Ukrainian Medical and Dental Academy, Dr. Krasko went on to complete a fellowship in Abdominal, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery in Kiev, Ukraine in 1993 and a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, and Jacobi Medical Center, Bronx, NY in 2003. He is board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary/critical care medicine, practicing his specialties in Houston since 2003. His special interests are ICU medicine, critical care procedures, and interstitial lung diseases.

Aga Kuliev, MD: After graduating from Azerbaijan State Medical University, Dr. Kuliev trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, Houston. He began private practice in 2005 and is board certified in Internal Medicine with particular interest in diabetes, hypertension, and lipid metabolic disorders.

Daria B. Lee, MD, FCCP: Dr. Lee graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1989, then completed Internal Medicine training at Beth Israel Medicine Center, and a Pulmonary fellowship at New York University/Bellevue Medical Center, both in NY, NY. She entered private practice in 1994 in suburban New York and transferring back to Houston in 1999. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine. His particular clinical interests include intensive care medicine and sleep disorders.

Pinakin Patel, MD: Dr. Patel graduated from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India in 1983. His Internal Medicine residency training was at UMD, Newark, NJ, 1989-91. He completed his Nephrology fellowship in 1993. Dr. Patel has been in the private practice of internal medicine and nephrology since 1993. He has been board-certified in Internal Medicine since 1997.

Jamal A. Razzack, MD: Graduating from Dow Medical College and Harvard Medical School in 1989, Dr. Razzack completed a residency in Internal Medicine from St. Louis University Medical Center and a fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. After moving to Houston, he started his practice in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine in 1998 and is board certified in all four specialties. His special interests include sleep disorders, critical care medicine, complex pulmonary illnesses and various hypoventilation syndromes.

Edward R. Rensimer, MD, FACP: Graduating in 1975 from Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Rensimer trained in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University, Chicago, and then completed an Infectious Diseases fellowship at University of Texas School of Medicine, Houston, in 1981, when he entered private practice. Since then, he has maintained a position on the University of Texas School of Medicine teaching faculty. He is board certified in both specialties and has a certificate of proficiency from the American Society for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. His specific interests are tropical/travel medicine; septic shock syndrome; opportunistic infections; and complex diagnostic challenges. He served as Chief of Staff of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center from 2010 – 2012, as well as was a member of the Executive Board of the Harris County Medical Society in 2011.

Akram Shakhashiro, MD: Having graduated from Damascus University, Syria, in 1992, Dr. Shakhashiro then went on to complete his medical internship and residency at the University of Illinois, Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Chicago, IL. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American Medical Association. He entered private practice in 1998 and has been practicing in Houston since 2001. He is dedicated to providing the highest quality healthcare possible.

Susan M. Vogel, MD: Dr. Vogel is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been practicing for 18 years. She has an interest in caring for the medically complex patient, along with the continuum of their life. Her interests also include outpatient, inpatient, and end of life hospice care as well as women’s healthcare issues and supplementing standard medical care with alternative and integrative medicine practices.
